Using Yosemite Beta 1 and Gotham 13.1, the well known 'mouse-bug' from the introduction of Mavericks is back again. Meaning, in full-screen mode, you cannot move the mouse pointer completely up. It gets stuck approx. At 10% from the top of the screen, so using skins which have the controls in the upper part of the screen cannot be used. ExpressVPN requires Mac OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) or 10.11 (El Capitan), or macOS 10.12 (Sierra), 10.13 (High Sierra), 10.14 (Mojave), 10.15 (Catalina), or 11 (Big Sur).

Kodi, formerly known as XBMC, is an open-source software all-in-one mega entertainment center which can be installed on Linux, Windows, iOS, Android, Raspberry Pi, and I’ll be showing you how to install Kodi on your Mac running OS X Yosemite, Mountain Lion, and Lion (10.6 and above). With this bad boy install on you Desktop, or laptop, you’ll be “in the car” and on your way to completely free TV, movies, and much more (YES I mean FREE TV which includes cable.) Kodi allows, or gives, the user the ability to play and view most videos, music, podcasts, and other digital media files from local, or network, storage media and the internet.

While installing Kodi on Mac OS X 10.8 or higher then you might get a message saying that XBMC/Kodi “can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer”. This is due to the OS X Gatekeeper feature that is designed to discourage users from downloading third party applications.

Requirements

Intel, 64-bit processor

Yosemite

OS X 10.6 or later

(Optional) Apple TV

Kodi Installation

Kodi Yosemite

Step 1. Right click (or command+click) the XBMC/Kodi icon and select “open”

Or

Step 2. Go to the Apple Menu -> System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General >

Step 3. Unlock the padlock at the bottom of the window, which will require a computer admin password

Step 4. Where it says “Allow applications downloaded from:” select “Anywhere”

Step 5. OS X will give you a scary warning that is a bit exaggerated. If you’re not comfortable with this, use the “right click” method mentioned above.
